Guru Story - An Autograph on My Soul

With a great zeal and spirit I went to meet Guruji in December 2003 from Dubai to German Ashram and alone in the passage of his Kutir, I saw him walking towards me and we met in the center of the passage.

"Khush ho na?" he asked while I touched his divine feet. Next day while everyone was waiting in the passage for him to come, I sat down again in the centre of passage for meditation! I noticed something and opened my eyes and he was standing and bending down for me to open my eyes! How can he neglect even one even if waiting for him with eyes closed!

When he called us to meet in his room, he swirled first chocolates in the air in his sweet fond style and I jumped and grabbed it! He looked at me with such a great amazement as if what a big task I've done. When I asked "Guruji your autograph?", pushing his photo forward, looking right into my eyes and signing "Sri Sri" on his left palm he said " I give autograph on the heart!" and I literally felt etching on my heart the way he signed on his palm.

This is the everlasting impression I carry on my heart.

So sweet!
Rajoo

Guru Story - GIFT

You know it's like whenever you see something beautiful you want to share it with the most intimate people around you. The beauty and depth I realized through Guruji in my life I wanted everyone in my house to feel it but Alas! My father had become so versed to it that he had started hating satsang, the word guru etc. I use to have a lot of long discussions with him on everything but he always use to tell me that "if there is any guru around, I will not go to him and he will have to come to me and show his presence to me." As he did his basic course but he didn't like Sudarshan Kriya and left doing it in a few days.

Once when I was leaving my home town for my studies I prayed to Guruji that when I meet my father next he should be a completely art of living person. I remember he came to see me off at the railway station and while waiving at him I was praying to Guruji that I wish my father to be absolutely drenched in Guru's love when I meet him next time. I was reading Yogasara Upanishad on my way to Delhi. I completed the book on my way, I remember it was something around 1 o'clock when I finished reading the book, I recall how blissful it was after reading such a deep knowledge which Guruji has portrayed so conveniently that it seeps in us within no time! After reading the book I kept my eyes closed for some time and I was praying to Guruji for everyone around me and again prayed for my father to be in this knowledge. I slept after that with a contented and peace filled heart.

Next day I got down at the railway station and got into a taxi which dropped me at IITD at 6.30am. As soon as I got inside my room my cell phone ranged and took the call and heard my father's voice from the other side and he said-"Pooja I am very sorry to speak such words for Guruji. While speaking his throat was fully chocked he was crying and was gasping too. I could really sense that he was speaking with a lot of gratitude for Guruji. He continued, "As I usually get up to do my pranayam at 5AM and thought of doing Kriya too. As I was doing my kriya just after the first round of my Kriya suddenly I could smell a lot of chandan (Sandalwood) and gulab (rose) fragrance around me and slowly the whole room was filled with it. And I could really feel his presence around me. He said he got up and checked, did somebody use any aroma inside the house but no, there was none. And the blissful smell stayed for some 50 mins inside his room as if he is bathing in the aroma 100%. He was crying and crying saying that Guruji is so kind that he himself came to answer my queries, he is so alert!! He was thanking Gurudev deeply and repeatedly saying that he will never doubt his presence. Guruji quenched his desire of meeting a guru which he was longing for with a authentication. And that is how I feel my prayer got answered. I could feel from the bottom of my heart that guru just takes over every confusion, misery, doubts from us with his presence around us, it's just that we need to be prayerful and to keep a profound faith in him. When I look back I think every moment of my life is Guruji's gift to me. Many times he has surprised me miraculously with his presence.

"There is no experience which equals the ecstasy of prayer. I feel if we can turn every helpless moment into a moment of prayer we will never experience anything unpleasant in our life. If we are intelligent enough to recognize the whisper from the infinity from then prayerful moments just happen for us."

Guru Story- Longing and Love

I started on this path in the beginning of 2009. I wanted to be in the presence of Guruji on Guru Poornima. Considering that I just did my advanced course with Guruji in March and also my work status wasn't quite stable, I thought of going to Chicago only for Guru Poornima. I still don't know how but I ended up signing up for Advanced Course(Perhaps my intense longing to be with Guruji). I booked my flight tickets as well. Only 2 days before the travel did I notice that I had booked tickets for the wrong date. I panicked and paid extra money to rebook my flight tickets.

On the day of travel, I was so excited and reached the airport. I was about to enter the security line and then realized that I didn't have my driver's id. I was in tears and asked my friend to pick me back from the airport. My friend asked me to check at the ticketing counter. The guy at the ticket counter asked me to talk to the security personnel. I was pulled aside and I showed them my insurance card, my credit card, bank card with photo etc. The security personnel was still not happy and asked me what else do I have. All through I was praying to Guruji, please I want to do the course and want to be in YOUR presence on Guru Poornima. I searched my handbag and pulled my checkbook out. The security personnel was happy with the checkbook and let me go through security clearance. The best part: I was about to leave the checkbook at home but in the last minute decided to take it with me. None of friends believed when I told them that I was allowed to travel without passport or ID. All I can say is "Guruji's grace". I had wonderful time in Guruji's presence and beautiful darshan on Guru Poornima morning. Within a week after my return, my project got stable and had a choice of 2 projects to choose from !!!

Radha is longing Krishna is love. Where there is longing there is love :)

Jai Gurudev!

Guru Story - Take Guru's Words Seriously

I would like to narrate a Guru Story which happened in my life. I and my wife Karthika wanted to go to Rishikesh to be with Guruji for a very long time and made it at last in March 2007. Since this was the first time we were visiting the Northern India, we were just planning to go to Agra, Mathura and Brindavan as part of this trip. The first day when Guruji arrived in Rishikesh, we were about 40 people in the Kutir. As soon as He entered the room, He saw me first and asked where I was coming from. I said Bangalore, not knowing that He already knew that. Then He asked me again. I was confused. Then He asked if I was coming directly from Bangalore or after visiting Agra, Mathura and Brindavan in exactly the same sequence we had planned! I and Karthika were completely surprised (Why do we forget that He knows everything?) and started laughing and Guruji started laughing too. Nobody in the room really understood a thing! In the same trip on the Last day of advanced course, we were sitting in rows for Guru Darshan, And Guruji came near me. He started pinching my cheek and pulling my ear. I was elated. Then he asked me if I have done my TTC. I said no. Then He told me "DO TTC".

After going back to Bangalore, this small mind of mine was telling me that since I had switched job just 6 months before, how I would get 2 weeks leave to do the TTC. Then I decided to go for TTC at a later date not knowing what was coming and how I completely ignored Guruji's words. After a few days, one night in the Ashram after the satsang, I was again standing in a line for Guru Darshan. Then Guruji came near me, patted my cheek and asked "how are you?" in Kannada. I said I am great, as if I completely understand Guruji's grace. As Guruji was about to leave for Germany later that night, myself and Karthika decided to go to Airport to send him off. On that particular day, my car apparently had some problem (Later found out that it was in perfect condition) and so took our 2-wheeler and started out. In the mid way, we met with an accident. The vehicle hit a curb and my head hit the curb (I was wearing helmet) and Karthika flew across and landed in the road on the other side of the curb. I broke my toe quite terribly and Karthika did not get even a single bruise. It was such an amazing moment that for the first time, we were able to experience our mind being 100% in the present moment! Later we managed to get into a hospital and a surgery was done. Surprisingly I didn't experience any amount of pain throughout this episode. In fact doctors were asking again and again if I am lying or something and I was really laughing throughout. After that I had to take 2 weeks of medical leave coinciding with the dates of TTC! It was only when an astrologer told that my accident was supposedly almost fatal and that I was supposed to have got a head injury, that I started thinking about the whole sequence of events. Here is what I found. Guruji wanted to save me completely and asked me to be in TTC. I COMPLETELY IGNORED. Even after my decision, Guruji was so compassionate that He, by patting on my cheek, made a complete joke of the fate and converted a head injury into a PAINLESS-Toe fracture! On that day I decided to do the next TTC NO MATTER WHAT!

On the top of all this here is another incident in connection with the above episode. I was still in rest after the accident, but wanted to just see Guruji on my birthday. So somehow by limping I went to the Ashram and that day being Monday attended the Rudra Puja and was very happy just with that. But my wife had brought some sweets and asked Swami Sadhyojatah to give them to Guruji in his Kutir as Guruji normally never meets anybody after the Rudra puja. But we were sitting outside the Kutir entrance just hoping some miracle would happen. And MIRACLE happened. Somebody started calling for "Ramki and Karthika" with the usual feverishness! Guruji after receiving the sweets from Swamiji had asked for us to come in. Then with the huge bandage on my foot, I was happily limping all the way to the Kutir along with my wife, my brother-in-law and my parents. Once I stepped into the entrance of the Ganga Kutir, I realized Guruji was all along expecting us and kept on looking at the entrance. Once I entered I touched his feet and He gave me a "SRI SRI Dollar" as a gift and later gave each of us a banana. Then He started asking about what happened to my foot so innocently as if He knew nothing about it. Then I started narrating the story of the accident. He asked smilingly why we have to come all the way to the airport just to wave the hands. Then I told how Karthika flew all the way and ended up having no wound. Guruji busted into laughter. And my brother-in-law told that the police had registered his name in the report for no reason. Guruji asked why. Then I told I didn't have a license! Guruji started laughing even more and all the Swamijis in the room started laughing out loud. And with a Perfect Birthday gift I walked out of the Kutir. Surprisingly this incident in the Kutir was later shared by Guruji himself in an advanced course which my brother-in-law attended. Apparently Guruji was narrating how this couples (me and Karthika) took such a big accident so lightly and laughed all the way through and told the participants that this is how one changes after doing the Art of Living course!
