How I met Guruji after a long time...

Dear All,

As our 'Guru experiences' are in plenty, I was wondering what I would write whenever I read other devotees' stories. Every day offers some miracles by His Grace.

But what I experienced last week, I can't help expressing!
When I heard that my cousins and friends had visited Guruji, I started developing an intense desire to meet Him. For so many months I hadn't seen Him. I didn't know what to do and who would come with me to Bangalore Ashram from Cochin.

Finally I dropped my botheration in the web site and next morning called a friend (an AOL teacher, who had also added to my longing) to know if she would come with me. As she had been in Ashram the week before, she was not able to come, but gave me a contact number. As I called them they were four people - a husband and wife, a mother and son - going the next day. They told me to take Tatkal ticket and join them.

To the greatest surprise for all of us, I got a confirmed seat/berth in the much crowded Kanyakumari-Bangalore train in the Friday evening. (That very moment i decided to share this story with every one).

That too, in the same compartment with them.
What to say? From then onwards, till my return trip on Monday evening, it was a total gift package from my Gurudev.

I saw Him the next day (Saturday) and got a wonderful live meditation too. During Satsang, He asked, "two days back, you were wondering how to reach Bangalore. Now aren't you in Bangalore?".

Somebody said, "Guruji, you are very busy" and He replied, "Yes, I am busy, but I have time for you. Tell me, all your Sankalpas are materialized, right?".

When I left Ashram, my heart had already filled with the delight of His Darshan.
I am blessed, not just for this life time, but for all life times to come!

My eyes fill with tears of gratitude whenever I see Him.
How fortunate we are all...

My Guru Story from Delhi

Jai guru Dev!!
I could feel this connection with Guruji many years before I did my basic course. My habit of spiritual reading made me read the column of speaking tree everyday in the times of India. Somehow Guruji’s article used to reach my heart instantly and I could feel elevation in my spirits. I used to wonder how such simple day to day affairs were so beautifully put across to us seekers. I had this urge to meet Guruji at least once.
I bought myself copies of the “intimate note to a sincere seeker” . I was on the constant look out for the Basic course happening in my area. My husband and I wished to do the course together, but due to job constraints of my husband , the course admission did not happen for 2 years, I consoled myself that the right time has not yet come .
Weeks passed and I saw the Banner of Guruji’s visit at Siri fort auditorium, New Delhi. My husband agreed to take me there . The satsang of Ms Roy had begun and the auditorium was full. Guruji came in later , we squatted on the floor in front and listened to the question answer session and immense love and flowers everyone had brought for Guruji.
After the talk by Guruji, everyone dispersed, so many people rushed behind Guruji, there were people all around him. I had this hope that I might get a chance to touch his feet. Nevertheless, I was happy I could meet him.
We came out to avoid rush and my husband went to get our car out from parking and I waited alone with no people next to me, at the other end of the road.
I was taken with great surprise when Guruji’s car just passed me; Guruji lowered the shutter down and held out his hand. His soft hands were so reassuring “I am there for you “. Guruji knew my intense urge to meet him and I feel so blessed to be a part of Art of Living and guided at every step. The Guru punch I receive by email everyday is a guide that is a savior. It is after this that one fine month when my husband was on tour to UK, I decided to do the course as after this long wait.
Thank you Guruji ...We love you ☺

I pray to Guruji that all should experience the wonderful transformation the course does to you. I wish that my husband also does the course soon , and experience the bliss.

Blessing in a dream

Hi,

I'm writing to share an incident from about 6 months ago.

I am a scientist working in Switzerland. I'd been invited to speak at what seemed like an important international conference in San Diego. I was happy to accept the invitation because it was an invited presentation. Once I got there, I realized that the conference was on a scale that I'd not imagined - some of the best scientists from my field of research were there and it was very humbling to have been invited to give a talk there. I'd given invited talks before but never to an august audience such as this. It was a little mind-wrecking because it would be a tough gathering to address. The format of the talk involved a presentation for about 25 minutes and then a question-answer session for 5-10 mins.

I seemed fine until the evening before the day of my talk and I started feeling quite nervous. I was up until a little late in the night making last minute changes to my talk. I had a few hours of sleep to catch before the D-day. My dream that night was very special - Guruji appeared and blessed me. It felt very nice and I was very calm after I woke up. I did my usual Kriya and vaguely remember having followed through one of Guruji's guided meditation sessions. I was very calm, most unusual given the circumstances. The time came for my talk - I went on stage and everything flowed through so seamlessly, it felt great. I wasn't ruffled by the circumstances even a week bit and the feedback following my talk was very positive.

It still feels very nice to recollect the events of that night. There's more to a Guru - Sishya relationship than what appears. It still holds its sanctity in the modern world that we live in.

Thumbs up!

I broke by thumb in January 2012 right at the joint where it attaches to the palm. All the doctors who saw the x-ray photographs had grim expressions and expressed doubts whether it would be alright again. I realized the importance of the thumb during that period and realized that I would be handicapped for life if it was not fixed.

Finally the day for the operation arrived. I was given general anesthesia and I became unconscious. Half an hour later someone patted me to wake me up and I knew intuitively that the operation went well. I thanked the doctor in a semi-conscious state, who performed the operation. Later the doctor also told us that he thought that the operation would be successful and the bone was fixed in the correct position.

After the operation, for the six or seven weeks my hand was fixed in a cast with metal wires inserted, and I felt no pain!!!

I remind myself of the enormous amount of love and care that the divine bestows on us with this incident. All of his grace flowed to me through Guruji and he hold my right hand when my left was being operated on.

Thank you Guruji for taking such a good care of me in a foreign land, and I know I am not alone!

It really works

Jai Gurudev,

Recently I did my blessing course. Though I was keeping very busy in office I decided, to take some time to do the course. The blessing course was scheduled on 12th July, while I had to give an application demo to a very important client on 18th July, Wednesday. I thought I had two days i.e Monday and Tuesday which was enough to test the application before we give the demo to the client.
After returning from the blessing course on Monday, while I was testing the application there were too many issues and bugs which were required to be solved and two days time was not enough. I regretted for taking leave and going for the course, I thought I should have taken up this course at a later time when all my commitments were over. To make things worse the application crashed while uploading a file to the server and we were not able to recover it till 8.30 in the evening on Tuesday. We were supposed to leave at 5.00 am the next day, but till Tuesday evening we were still struggling. I was much tensed and did not know what to do.

I prayed to Guruji and blessed the whole situation and guess what..... Within 10 minutes of giving blessings our client himself called us up and requested the demo to be postponed to next week as they were facing some issues in their company.
Oh my god client calling up himself and postponing the demo was a miracle for me. I thanked deeply to Guruji and knew for sure that blessings really work. My faith in Guruji and his blessings has now increased hundred times and I feel lucky to become his blessing channel.

His Darshan and Blessings

I did my Part I course in Dec 2011 by chance and that changed my life forever. I then went on to do my higher courses. However I did not meet Guruji. My Part II teacher told that Life changes after one meets him. I was very eager to meet him but could not meet him, either he would be abroad or I would not get leave. However from last week onwards I was getting updated in Facebook about evening satsang with Guruji broadcasted live. I knew I he was in Bangalore, but somehow I was not getting a chance.

This Saturday i.e. 28th July 2012 was like any other day for me. I woke up, did my kriya, visited temple and then headed for my office. Suddenly I got an SMS from an unknown number. The sender said that they are going to visit ashram for Guruji's Darshan and Satsang and would start at 2pm and wanted me to assemble at a particular place. I saw my watch it was 10.00 am. Something spurred me. I immediately completed all my work and made a request to my Boss. I showed the sms to my Boss and he agreed instantly. I had my lunch and started from my office. It was 2.00 pm. I took all possible short cuts and drove at more than my normal speed and finally reached ashram at 3.30pm.I went to take my darshan coupon and stood in the queue near Badri Vishala.

The queue was similar to the serpentine queues by participants of reality shows. The gates were manned by volunteers; suddenly one of the volunteers called me in for SEVA for preparing the Badri Vishala.I was overjoyed, I Hurriedly went inside and prepared the room.

We were asked to sit in row and were told that Guruji will be visiting each one of us. A Gentleman next to me suggested that I should write down my problems in a paper and handover to him. I wrote down 3 points and kept ready.

He arrived in the hall and started meeting every one.I immediately started taking pictures on my cell phone and very soon he was near. I handed over my paper to him, I spoke to him in Tamil and told my problems, He told me it will be resolved soon, I fell on his feet.

After I came out I was feeling light and very happy. I sat for evening satsang in the front row. During Satsang in Art of Living ashram I was Suddenly Laughing and suddenly crying. While driving back home I was overjoyed by the day's experience I was dancing at home. I feel that my burden has been snatched by somebody

Got what I wanted

I have never met Guruji in my life as of yet. I came to know about AOL through my mom who lives in Mumbai, and I am based in Toronto.
My curiosity grew when my Mom would share her experience of attending satsang, and attending courses in Bangalore. 

My guru story started last year in October. I was very unhappy with my job, and my mom knew this very well. She told me that I just pray to Guruji in regards to my circumstances and leave it to him. I prayed a lot every morning, I would tell Guruji in my heart, how unhappy I was in my job- and that I desperately needed a change. I even knew which job would make me happy and provide more opportunities in the future.

It so happened that in November, I was speaking with my colleagues and was talking about our job. I told him that I am not happy here and that life would be so great if I got this other job which I wanted for a long time. After the conversation ended, I went back to my desk- and literally within 30 seconds my phone rang. It was the hiring manager of the position that I was looking for. She said that she would like to offer me a position with her company. She knew me because she used to be one of my clients. I was so shocked at first I didn’t know what to say, when you want something so much and you yearn for it from your heart and soul, and then you finally get it. Off course I said yes!!! After I got off the phone, I realized what a MIRACLE had taken place- because there was no advertisement for this job, I never submitted my resume or even had an interview. I was shaken by what had happened and was so thankful to Guruji, that he heard my prayers. To top it off, that very day happened to be my birthday- it was the present I could ever ask for.
I called my mom and shared this news with her, and I told her how it was anything short of a miracle? I never even applied for the job, but it came knocking on my door. Mom said it was all due to Guruji’s grace and love. I wondered how anyone could love me so much and I have never even met Guruji in person. The story gets better…

My start date was in February 2012. I was very excited, to go on training and learn new things. About 1 month after I started my new job, it was the end of March- I got some terrible news. The office that I use to work in was making great cuts, and everyone was laid off. All my dear friends and colleagues were lost their jobs. I was the only one who was safe and made it out in time. This made me look back, and wonder how Guruji saved me in nick of time, had I been work there I too would have been laid off. Guruji really looked after me in every way. I get emotional when I think about the great blessing I received.

My experience is a very special one to share with you all.
This incident happened even before I did my Basic Course in the Kanakapura Ashram in April 2010.
In March 2010, I was returning from Sydney on a Sunday and the flight would reach Bangalore early morning on Monday, when I had to attend my office for a very urgent meeting in the morning which could not be avoided.

In the meantime, I read few books on Guruji when I was with my daughter and her family in Sydney which made me feel the Power and Divinity of our dear Guruji.

Actually, I had spondylosis and knee pain. So, I just prayed to Guruji that since the journey is very long and I had to sit for long hours, so if I could get a place to lie down for some time, I could go to office the next day without any tiredness.

Here the miracle happened in the flight. The three seater row was only for me!!!! When I saw the other seats empty, I even asked the attendee in the flight whether I can make use of the other seats and he told me “They are yours ". To my surprise, this happened on a Sunday, when the flights are supposedly full!

Then in the very next month I did my basic course in the Ashram and do Pranayam/Sudarshan Kriya every day.
Now, I do not have any Spondylosis problems at all !!!!

Power of meditation, Guru Grace :)

This experience is another inspiration for giving top priority for spiritual practices – Pranayam, kriya, meditation etc.

As my sister is planning to apply for M.Tech, she needs her T.C. (Transfer Certificate) which was issued to her after completing her post graduation. My sister lives in Hyderabad and in spite of searching all her cupboards, she could not find it. So, she called up my mother who lives in Vishakhapatnam and told her to check at home for the T.C. For the past 20 days my mother has been searching for it every day, but could not locate it. She was very upset with herself that she could not keep her daughter’s certificate safely. As my mother had to move from one house to another in last few years, I thought we had lost my sister's certificate.

As the time was nearing to apply for M.Tech, my sister called up her P.G. college where she did her M.C.A and asked them what is the process to get a duplicate T.C. They said it is a lengthy process and you have to lodge a police complaint. After the police certify that they could not find your T.C., we issue a new one. My sister lost all her hopes of finding her T.C and applying for M.Tech this year.
My mother is very regular in her practices (yoga, pranayam, kriya, meditation). She does Sahaj meditation twice a day (morning and evening). Yesterday evening when she sat for Sahaj, she had a vision of a small bag hiding in a corner of a cupboard and there was a voice telling her – “after coming out of meditation, please search in that cover, you will get it.” However, the voice did not tell her what is there in that cover.

After coming out of meditation, my mother just prayed to Guruji and while searching the cupboard she found that cover in the same corner which she saw in her meditation. To her surprise, when she opened the cover, she found my sister’s T.C, study certificate, and couple of other certificates too. Her joy knew no boundaries. Immediately she called up my sister and me. She was excited like a child. My mother said – if at all I did not have that vision, I would never search that corner because I never keep any valuables there! Well, one can imagine how happy my sister to hear this news :) is

Guruji always says by giving top priority to your practices, you can get everything. It is true :)
