Guruji’s presence in my life has always been so unspectacular, yet, always so profound and deep. His grace in my live is immeasurable and yet so subtle.
Recently, after a very hectic schedule of late nights and early mornings, we (my wife, my 4 year old daughter and I) were returning from Dubai to Abu Dhabi after attending Rishi Vidhyadharji’s morning Sadhana.In about 10 minutes from the time I actually touched the Dubai-Abu Dhabi highway, I started feeling sleepy. As Priyanka, my wife and Avni, my daughter, too were tired, they dozed off a little later and I kept driving to be on time for a meeting at Abu Dhabi. After some time, I said to Priyanka that she should talk to me as I was feeling sleepy. She suggested that I should stop at one of the petrol pumps and rest there for few minutes but as there was no petrol pump nearby, I had to keep going until I could find one. I finally found one and came close to the exit. However just before taking the exit, my eyes closed for few seconds.

Lifetime Filled With Grace

I have had several amazing experiences since ‘Gurujis’ presence in my life. I would be delighted to share a few of them with you all!

1. Grand Daughters’ premature Birth: On the 28th of September, 2009, Dushehra day at around 6.30 pm, my daughter in law prematurely (less than 7 months) delivered twin baby girls in a small Nursing home at Chennai. Doctors at Apollo Hospital Chennai told us that the delivery would be complicated through an operation. There was nothing we could do then, apart from having faith, and so we prayed and surrendered the matter at His Lotus feet. And it was only by Gurudev’s Grace that it turned out to be a normal delivery. And to our pleasant surprise, both of them are now very active, energetic, and enthusiastic, even though their very chances of survival were bleak at the time of their birth. It’s all Divine care. “HE takes care.”

2. Chaotic Car Accident: On 1 July, 2014, I was returning after a meeting with some youth about ’Youth Leadership Training Program’, and suddenly I found that 2 children came in the middle of the road out of nowhere, and in my effort of saving them, I smashed my Toyota Etios on the backside of a stationary truck at the opposite side of the road at Andrews Ganj, New Delhi. Front Bumpers, Bonnet, Right side Doors, Wind shield, Dash board, everything was completely damaged.

I have read Guruji’s articles, books and watched his knowledge sheets in audio, but it wasn't until 2006 that I met him for the first time. That’s when the feeling actually started sinking in. It’s like when you make a scrumptious dish, you need to know the right recipe, but it’s only when you taste the dish you realise its value. Same was my encounter with Guruji. Since then, my life has witnessed various ups and downs, and other challenges. But I have always felt a hand on my soul.
With his grace, I have been able to see it all, with my smile intact always. On 31st October, 2014, a person asked me about this sudden change in my attitude; that I always seemed happy and jovial. I told him the secret.

A few years ago, I started experiencing some strange headaches. These headaches happened on a daily basis, and it was getting worse day by day. The pain was unbearable at times.
One day, I had to go to Bangalore for some official work. After completing the work, I went to consult a Doctor to get an MRI scan done. When I went to him with the reports, I got a shock of my life. The reports revealed an advanced stage of brain tumor. The Doctor said that nothing could be done about it, and that I should be prepared for the worst.
In my return flight, just a few seats ahead, Guruji was seated. I did not know much about Him or Art of Living at that time. Then all of a sudden, out of nowhere, Guruji came and sat next to me! He asked me the cause of my worry. I told Him exactly what had happened.

I have been an Art of Living volunteer for almost two years. I was working in a Company as an Assistant Manager and was in a comfortable position. However for further growth I was looking to switch my job. One company offered me a good job with high salary. Unfortunately, during the notice period the new company suffered some problems mainly because of EBOLA outbreak and they delayed my joining by three months. My marriage was on the cards and things started to look worse. I had started to get worried. And one particular night I couldn’t control my sorrow which took and became teary eyed as I tried to sleep. I felt restless, filled with deep anxiety. I knew not what the future held and felt uncertain. You wouldn't believe it! Guruji came in my dreams that night.

I Got The Job

I did my first Art of Living course in August, 2012, and that day transformed me forever. I was keen on doing the course since a long time, but as Guruji says, there is a prefect time for everything. I did my course when I needed it the most.
I had done my Engineering and was confused about what I should do further. I thought of preparing for GATE at home and I studied for 6 months and gave the Exam, but the result was disastrous. I was not able to clear the cut-off. This made me extremely disheartened and depressed. Then I gave one more exam, though I was not able to get a good percentile in that too. It was truly the worst phase of my life but I still kept my faith strong and hope going, and I would do my Kriya very regularly and on time. Finally one night, Guruji came in my dream.

Life-Changing Force

So a few years ago, in the year 2005, when I was in the fifth standard, suddenly one day, I started getting a very bad headache. The simplest thing that anyone does during a headache, is to just eat a Crocin. I did the same thing, but it did not help me at all. The pain remained. I also did not have any fever or high blood pressure or any other health problem, so was not sure about the reason for this ache. By late night, the ache reduced & it finally vanished. The next day, at the same time, sometime around 5 pm, again I started getting the same headache. I started getting headaches on a daily basis, at the same time, in the evening. Then my mother took me to the Doctor, who advised me to do some tests. The test reports revealed, MIGRANE. This news completely shocked us. The Doctor recommended some medicines. So every evening I would get a bad headache. Gradually with time, frustration started setting in.

The Power of Sankalpa

I would like to share this beautiful experience of mine that made me realize the importance of Sankalpa, and how a pure desire truly manifests. One day while we were taking a walk, my husband said to me “Wouldn’t it be nice to purchase a school and run it?” We both had always been in favour of education to all, as we believe that it is extremely essential in order to be self sufficient in today’s world. So we made a strong Sankalpa in our minds that we wanted to teach and educate in a big way, and we then surrendered it at the Lotus feet of Sri Sri.
To our utmost joy and surprise, just within a weeks time, we got a call enquiring whether we were interested in looking after the Sri Sri Ravi Shankar pre-university College. This was like a dream come true, so perfect! We had fulfilled our desire to educate children, the Art of Living way.

My elder sister Mitali, who is a devotee and very particular about the Kriya & follow ups, was feeling a little uncomfortable in her neck, a few years ago. Initially, she only underwent some home treatment, which made her feel absolutely fine. Then 1 year later, she complained of the same discomfort, and yet again, the same treatment helped her. Now in 2014, this discomfort increased to ten times worse. It really made her miserable. She faced great difficulty in walking, and her hands also became num. So we took her to the Doctor, who told us to get an MRI done. The reports revealed an alarming slip disk, and almost no blood circulation in her hand, making it num. There was a very big gap between the spine & the neck. On further analysis, the Doctors concluded that she must be hospitalized as soon as possible as she had to get operated under all circumstances. On hearing this, my family and I were in deep agony. The slip disk surgery is a very dangerous one as even the slightest mistake could prove to be fatal. We felt just so helpless, so paralyzed. All we could do now was pray for the Best!

During July 2006, we went to meet Guruji at Rishikesh, as He was to be there for a few days, and we did not want to miss out on such a wonderful opportunity of seeking blessings from the Master Himself! This is Anuj Khanijau from Mumbai. I did my first AOL course in January, 2005. From being a firm non believer till I met Guruji in 2003, to date : it has been a journey that even I find difficult to fathom.
For some unknown reason, even though reluctant to carry on, I kept continuing the practices, on account of my commitment to the teacher during the course. Again reluctantly, my legs started pulling me onto one Advance (Part 2) course after the other. I knew I was losing control and Someone was taking over, but for a weird reason, I did not mind this happening, right to the point of walking into a TTC (Teacher’s Training Course)!
Probably it was only a few months back that I realized the true value of letting go of control!
My mother, who is a devotee since 2001, and also the one responsible for getting me hooked on, had gone for some work to Dadar (Mumbai), where she suddenly collapsed. I was not around, but another colleague with her rushed her to a close-by hospital.

Noise to Silence, Spoiled Teenager to Youth Leader, From a Rough Stone to Polished Diamond, yes, that's the Miraculous journey of Kapil Bhatia, a 27 Years Young Dynamic Art of Breathing Workshop and Yes Plus Teacher from a very small island which is even hard to see on a globe, but, when drop meets the ocean it’s no longer a single drop, it itself becomes the ocean.

It began in my teenage, when a few of my friends and I were a part of Disc Jockeying group and would perform at house parties and college fests. One fine day, my friend invited all of us for a DJ party at his house. As I entered, I was amazed to see people celebrating, enjoying and dancing to the tune of Bhajans (spiritual hymns). They were smiling and were happier than people I would see every day in clubs. They were ecstatic and more joyful than people who would get drunk in parties and forget human values. I could see and feel so much of belongingness. Satsang got over after a while and we started playing DJ. I was astonished to see people dancing with same enthusiasm and wondered about their secret of endless energy and their ability to accommodate to both Satsang and party so well. I was amazed as I had never seen and experienced anything like this before. After everyone left, my friend’s mom came and asked me if I had done Art of Living course. I sort of avoided her question and didn’t pay much heed.

It was about 10 years back that I did my first Art of Living Course. Meanwhile, I had been facing several problems in my personal life, especially on the health front, which was one of my main motives to do this course, which I had already heard so much praise about. No doubt, the course lived up to every bit of my expectations, and I had a truly wonderful experience, mainly while learning the ever so powerful technique called the Sudarshan Kriya!
Then suddenly one day, my health issue started resurfacing. My legs got almost frozen and I could barely manage to drag my feet.

My husband and I visited the Bangalore Ashram recently.Yesterday was our first meeting with Guruji. Brief as it was, I introduced myself and vocalised my desire to meet Him on the occasion of my 50th birthday.
I thought, that was it! Felt extremely happy to give Him the laddoos (sweets), and receive a lotus from Him. I was just so overjoyed! After concluding this beautiful meet with the Master, we headed back home, and as we were walking back, suddenly, we find His messengers bringing a vehicle towards us, to take us to Guruji . They said, “Are you the one who came here to meet Guruji on your 50th birthday ? Guruji wants to meet you and your husband.

This is Dipti Deshpande from Mumbai. I did the AOL course a few years back & I am a devotee since then. The course really changed my life, in fact I am alive only because of the Sudarshan Kriya & Guruji’s blessings.
I was a Chemical Engineering student. I have been able to complete my course, the tough course, only because of Guruji’s blessings. It took me a lot of time to complete the course though, as it is obviously not everyone’s cup of tea. You really have to struggle a lot. Many expert students have had a difficult time accomplishing this degree.
We all put in a lot of effort studying, doing all our project work & making presentations.I told my friend Divesh, to keep sending me blessings, as I knew the importance of the Masters’ Grace in one’s life, especially when you are faced with harsh situations.

It’s Saturday night and I’m getting ready to see Sri Sri tomorrow. I just took a hot bath and I’m ready for bed when the phone rings. I assume it’s someone from Los Angeles wanting a ride up North to a course, or my daughter calling to make sure I’m still alive. I answer the phone and someone on the other line says: “Dvorahji? Guruji wants to talk to you?” “Me???” I chirp. “Why would He want to talk to me?” Then I suddenly hear laughter: “Dvorah!! How are you?” It’s Guruji. I’m speechless but my “brain” kicks in. “Hi Guruji. You’re calling Me?”
“Dvorah, come, come to see me?” When are you coming?” “Guruji this is the first time you ever called me!” I stammer. “How are you Dvorah, how are you doing? “I’m great Guruji. You called me, of course I’m great!” “Well you better be” He chimes. “You don’t want to ruin my reputation!” He laughs and I also hear people in the background, roaring with laughter.

From Sorrow to Success

My name is Gunjan Malhotra and I did my first AOL course in 2008.I would now like to share with you all, a realization, an experience, that took me miles ahead in achieving my all-time dream!
Initially, as a fresher into the AOL family, I was not particular about doing my Sudarshan Kriya. I was very laid back about it as back then and I did not feel it’s importance and would seldom do it.
By profession, I am a model. But three years back, I would not be able to say that. It all started in 2011, when I began my journey to stardom. I started going for audition after audition with the hope of getting the right break. At every audition, the story remained the same:better looking girls, stiffer competition-lesser motivation.
I had now reached a point in time, when I was 500 auditions old but success wise, I was still at zero. I had not managed to bag even one assignment. In spite of putting in all my efforts, the results only disheartened me. This was the bitter reality. I was a failure.

Guru of Joy

Since a young age, I have always been drawn towards the Divine with regular visits to our local Temple in the area. I recall spending lots of time praying very hard that I pass my university exams, find a good job and continue my work in the field of human rights, my life long passion. And with the grace of the Divine I was fortunate to have received a scholarship from the US government to further my law studies at a prestigious law school in Washington DC. On my return to South Africa, my wishes were further fulfilled, when I was offered employment by the first democratic government of South Africa as a Legislative Drafter in 1994.

What I had not anticipated is what came a few years later. In 1999, I developed very strange symptoms in my body. Following many tests and eventually an MRI, doctors diagnosed me with a hyperactive pituitary gland that produces a tiny little micro adenoma in your brain(small little benign tumour in the brain). It was inoperable, given the size and location of it and the only treatment possible was tablets that made one feel awful. Overweight, imbalance of the hormones, migraines, exhaustion, taking a pill every day and annual medical tests became a way of life for me.

The Power of the Present

I was in dire need to do an Advance course but something or the other would keep coming up. I was praying to Gurudev for it and then Blessings came to me in many forms. I happened to get the opportunity, this Guru Purnima, in the form of Kamalashile Gurupoornima Special Advance course. Kamalashile is a tranquil, beautiful village with dense forests and amazing waterfalls located in Mangalore.

There is a very special incident that happened during the time before our course started. I, along with some course participants and our Teacher Justin, went to visit a nearby waterfall. I was not aware that we had to climb up the waterfall while it was still raining, hence I carried my spectacles along. While climbing up the waterfall, my spectacles fell down all the way from the top. Then there was no way I could have got them back.
