VISIT TO GERMAN ASHRAM

Note: If you are not able to see the image below, you need to click on 'Display images' in your mail

My favourite Guru story is when I had a huge amount of resistance in going to the German Ashram.
And pushing me in the back, is well, you know who! ☺

I arrived from an overseas flight to Paris, then took a train to Strasbourg and found myself looking for ways to avoid going any closer to Bad Antogast (Ashram).

So it was about 4 in the afternoon and I automatically started walking away from the train station in search of a hotel. I walked and walked, and I stopped in front of some church bells ... that out of the blue began to ring very fast and loud. Then, an alarm from some shop went off, really loud and scary alarm ... like the sound that reminds you that you are doing something terribly wrong. This ‘woke’ me up and made me realize…okay, indeed going to a hotel seems ridiculous.

So I headed back to the train station, purchased my ticket and unwillingly got on the next train to Oppenau. Once I arrived in Oppenau, an overwhelming feeling of resistance came over me and I sat down in a rebellious mood and told myself, it is okay, you have come this far, but you do not have to go any further.

I sat there, feeling relieved. Then suddenly on the arrival platform arrived plenty of recognizable, friendly, smiling AOL people, who took me up the mountain, to the BA Ashram.

And when I finally reached there, I felt terribly happy and peaceful and cannot for the life of me remember why I did not want to come in the first place.

Lots of love.

Jai Gurudev!
In December 2009, one of our Art of Living’s nadi pariksha doctors diagnosed my wife & told us to undergo T5 test which means test for Thyroid. Result of tests came positive and he suggested us to consult the specialist. We went to the specialist doctor and he took iodine test & x-ray and asked us to come the next day. My wife was scared after hearing the news of her thyroid problem and she prolonged the matter and hence we could not visit the doctor.

On 1st Jan 2010, I did my Blessing Course and after completing the course, I first gave blessing to my wife, son, plants & fishes. After two or three days, I told my wife, “Let us go to the doctor and whatever medicine he prescribes, let us start those, anyhow your tests are positive so no use of prolonging the matter”.

So we went to the doctor and after check up, he told us that she is okay. He said, “Continue the same medicines which I had prescribed earlier.” But he had not prescribed any medicine to her after the iodine test & x-ray that day. So we went to one of our AOL devotees who is also an Ayurvedic Doctor for check-up. He checked her nadi and told us that she does not have any Thyroid related problem…!!!!!!

“IT WAS GURUJI WHO CURED HER AFTER MY BLESSING COURSE"

Thank you Guruji.
We love You!

THE CONNECTION BETWEEN MASTER AND DISCIPLE IS AMAZING

Note: If you are not able to see the image below, you need to click on 'Display images' in your mail

It was Sunday. Being a teacher, I had to go to city to take Long Kriya. My wife was away from Head Quarter- to her sister's home at Thiruvarur. She was to come home that day in the morning by 0600 hrs. I was expecting a call from her.

My land-line phone was out of service for the past one week. It use to ring occasionally and but when lifted no sound would come. In spite of this, whenever it rang, I had to lift it in hope that may be it is a call from my wife.

As my home is on the first floor, thrice I locked & came down to go to class for Kriya and each time phone would ring and I had to rush upstairs but no sound would come when I picked up. 4th time the ring came. Again I went up, opened the door & looking at the picture of Guruji on the wall prayed that it should be a genuine call. I took the phone & to my surprise, it was a genuine call. My wife was talking from her place stating that she will leave at night & will reach the next day. The line got disconnected immediately and it was restored only after a week. With much free mind, I went to class.

The connection between the Master & disciple is amazing.

"smile :-), it costs nothing"

With Love

MY MOST AMAZING GURU STORY

Note: If you are not able to see the image below, you need to click on 'Display images' in your mail

This is the most amazing thing...!!! This is my Guru Story on my way back from Canada to USA.

So the plan was that I was to go from USA to Canada on Friday with Anish, Adarsh and the team...we had 2 SUVs...one was coming back on Sunday and the other one on Monday...so I planned that I will come back to USA on Monday.
So today on Sunday morning (we had awesome darshan of Guruji on Saturday which is another amazing story), while we were standing again for Guruji's darshan, I asked Amit bhaiya* (oh before moving ahead...I had told Guruji the night before to take care of me to which he had smiled and replied "really!!") so...I for some unknown reason, despite having a confirmed plan, asked Amit bhaiya, what should I do? Should I stay until Monday or should I go today evening. Amit bhaiya said do what u want to do but I insisted on him answering as I was confident that he will also say Monday. But Amit bhaiya is Amit bhaiya. He said you have a class…right??? Go attend class...go today. So I thought that if I asked for his decision then staying and not going will be the wrong thing…agar nahin hi jaana tha to poocha kyon (if didn’t want to go in first place, then what was the point of asking, whether I should go or not)..aisa soch ke (thinking this), I made up my mind that I will leave today. So with some heavy heart and a happy thought (my talking to Guruji) I left in the SUV. My bag was in the hotel because I had not planned on leaving...so we went to the hotel to pick it up... u won’t believe what happened in the midway. It was in the midway that I realized that my passport and all were in the SUV only!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All the more it was in a pouch hidden between the seats…!!! I had kept it there to keep it safe :P

Just imagine if I would have stayed back...my passport would have gone back to New Jersey without anyone noticing. I would not have been able to come back to Jersey... and I would not have realized that where my passport is! Everyone in the SUV was shocked when I picked up the pouch and said my passport is in the car. Guruji saved me through Amit bhaiya. I mean why would I ask Amit bhaiya about my plan after I had confirmed it? Just imagine.
Guruji really really saved me.

MY GURU IS THE BEST!!

Note: If you are not able to see the image below, you need to click on 'Display images' in your mail

Very soon I will be going to India (Bangalore) for attending Shivratri Special AMC (advanced meditation course).

From a long time, I wanted to go for Shivratri course, but before I could register, the course got full. I was so disheartened, disappointed and angry at myself for not registering on time. I called Bangalore Ashram and shared my disappointment and the guy with whom I was talking over phone, told me not to worry. He also said that if you really want to come for the course then it will happen and I knew it right then that it will happen and I was at peace.

And guess what! They added few more seats and I got an email from Bangalore Ashram that I can register now. ☺

My Guru is the best!!!!!! ☺

I know he takes care of each and everyone and he loves everyone. Cannot wait to go to Bangalore Ashram for the first time and meet my Guruji.

SRI SRI’S BLESSINGS FOR ‘SHREE’

Note: If you are not able to see the image below, you need to click on 'Display images' in your mail

Jai Gurudev!

I was very particular about doing my daily kriya (Sudarshan Kriya) till I got pregnant. And my husband was very particular about doing his “Rudram Puja” every Monday. I always wanted to sit and listen to the rudram slokas but due to laziness or whatever, I used to avoid it. Around my 8th month of pregnancy, I dreamt that one lady with long hair and in white dress was holding my hand and was asking me to do the Rudram Puja. I was ignoring her but she forced me to do so. She also said that you will be blessed with a nice baby boy. So I started sitting for Rudram Puja with my husband.

Today I am blessed with a baby boy "SHREE" who is 4 months old.

After my baby was born I narrated my dream to my husband and he said "It must be GURUJI!!!...in white dress asking you to do the Puja.”

Thanks Guruji ……..Please bless us.

Chalo Berlin! (Let’s go to Berlin!)

Note: If you are not able to see the image below, you need to click on 'Display images' in your mail

“I have told Guruji that we would be about 100+ people from YES!+ coming to Berlin.” I remember the day when Bawa told me these lines with a big bright smile on his face. Berlin??!! Yes! Berlin in Germany! This was for the 30th year anniversary celebrations of the Art of Living and the World Culture Festival. The Olympic Stadium had been booked for this grand ensemble. Only GOD (Pun intended) knows why on all earth he had selected such a venue! I was like…Kyun yaar, India mein jagah ki kami hai kya? (Is there lack of space in India?). Bawa had also mentioned about the month long Euro trip after the event which was too irresistible. I mean it. And what about the money, honey? Roughly about 2 lac rupees! Plus some thousands…Come on…you go there so far and you just can’t return empty handed….right? Would be so stupid!

Can you imagine, the moment I heard that number, my mind was already on its way doing all mathematics with the money I had in my RDs, FDs, shares etc. But it would not sum up to it. In short if I squeeze every penny from what I have plus what I had saved, I will comfortably make it and probably a little surplus too.

Saying YES to this trip took some time but once I did, arranging for the money was the biggest challenge! But as every salaried class person, there were many other hurdles for which I needed money. The next few days…the song – Apna sapna (my dream)…money money…was running in my mind. Thoughts of taking different workshops, courses, gambling in share market, take a loan etc bombarded my head for quite a long time… I mean days altogether. I was not ready to risk anything. The anxiety and confusion rose to such an extent that I decided not to go and watch the event via webcast. Big deal! And what about the trip? I had already visited some of the places which were in the plan. So it was not all that bad either…I consoled myself. :’(

My appraisal had just got over couple of months back. Thoughts like – “Oh! I should have asked for an onsite trip that time itself. Probably they would have agreed.”, “Should I go and ask now?” etc were bombarding my head every now and then. All this was happening just before and during the Manavathe season.
It was another regular Friday afternoon in office. I was in no mood to work. What’s new in that..? , you might ask. More importantly, now what has this to do with Berlin? It does!

That Friday evening, my manager called me and said – “We have planned travel for you to Germany for 3 months. You will have to leave in a month or so…” I coolly replied – “Ok” and came back to my seat and immediately browsed through the calendar to check the dates. Taking passport, visa factors into account, I might leave by May end. Thereafter 3 months, so June, July and August. Wait a second! July?! Will I be there? For a minute (or little more) I didn’t know whether to laugh, cry, feel grateful…I was absolutely stunned! Tears brimmed in my eyes and a drop trickled down from the right eye…

That’s the month…and July 2nd, 3rd… the dates for the World Culture Festival which I badly wanted to witness. Can it get better? In the last 4.5 years in the Art of Living, I have heard many a times that Guruji takes care. I have experienced it many times but then…this small mind has the tendency to get into its own ideas and complications galore.

Guruji had charted out a plan already and here I was… doing all circus to be there and finally when I gave it up, he offered it to me on a platter. As I was driving back home that evening, i was thinking what have I done to deserve this? The answer was – Nothing! I had done nothing to deserve this. Probably this is what is called GRACE.

HE IS ALWAYS THERE

Note: If you are not able to see the image below, you need to click on 'Display images' in your mail

I have always had the desire to cook and feed Guruji and that wish was fulfilled on May 26, 2007 when he was transiting via bahrain. A few teachers and volunteers were to meet him at the airport and serve him south indian food which I had the opportunity to cook. But I also wanted to see him in person. So I went to the airport with my family where my husband booked us in first class on the flight from which Guruji was travelling. However, we were lucky enough to meet him at the VIP lounge in Bahrain itself, so we cancelled our tickets. The icing on the cake was that Guruji was pleasantly surprised as to how we got into the VIP lounge and further pleased us by asking the photographer to click a group photo with our family. He also blessed me with 3 silver coins in appreciation of the food that was served to him.

This is not all, that summer when we were travelling to Mumbai, surprisingly we got a free upgrade to first class!! I believe this was truly Guruji's grace as never before this incident we had got the opportunity to travel first class.
Such instances are what have made my faith in him stronger.
I know that he is there for all his devotees and takes personal care of them.

Trip to Bangalore

Note: If you are not able to see the image below, you need to click on 'Display images' in your mail

I did DSN with ANANDJI in Pune. After doing that our batch decided to meet Guruji. Our teachers arranged for the same.

I have phobia of closed places and crowd (it has reduced now after doing regular sadhna). We had to go to Bangalore in Volvo bus. Pune to bangalore is an overnight journey. I was little scared but everyone told me, just say "Jai Gurudev!" and things will be alright.

When I entered the bus there was only one seat left which was last in the right corner. I was able to see the closed door from that seat which was enough to scare me. But meeting Guruji was my dream since last 7-8 years...so I just surrendered and said, “Guruji now you take care of it…”

When the bus was about to start, someone came to me and asked me to sit on another seat which was more comfortable. Our journey began. When the lights were switched off, for a moment I felt panic but at the same moment Guruji appeared on TV which was on the bus. I got busy looking at him. Soon I fell asleep and when I opened my eyes we were in Ashram….!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had such a peaceful sleep and whole night I was feeling as if I was sleeping in Guruji's lap and he was taking care of me like a mother.

When we met him in the Darshan line he turned to me and gave me a bright smile as if he was saying "hummm…how was the journey??? ;)
Guruji Says: If you are willing to walk with me, if you are willing to value love over everything else, I shall love you more than a mother loves her newborn… :)
