ETERNALLY GRATEFUL!!

Note: If you are not able to see the image below, you need to click on 'Display images' in your mail

I have been an art of living follower since class 9th. Now I am a doctor. Completed my MBBS & internship last year in May with Guruji's grace, & gave my pre-PG entrance exam in jan 2012.

This time the all India PG Entrance exam was very tough. All new questions, none from past years' & all of us were having a hard time at my examination centre in Delhi, because it was very cold there. Guruji showed his chamatkar (miracle), & there was warm sunshine all through, when I was writing my exam. I felt that he was encouraging me all the time, to sit through the exam, & to keep attempting the questions. There was negative marking & the questions were so tough, I felt like running away!! But He made me sit through the paper, & solve it sensibly & to the best of my capability.

When I finally finished my exam & came out, my mother was waiting. I felt sad, that I would disappoint her, as my paper hadn't gone so well. I was almost about to cry. Then I opened facebook via my cell phone, & there was Guruji's message. I felt it was meant for me only & He made me smile. The message said- “Our tears should only flow in gratitude, & not for petty things, or minor setbacks in life."

All through MBBS, I felt Guruji's presence with me. I have even taught him medicine, while remembering something, & seen him smile, that lovely, mischievous smile.

Whatever knowledge I've needed at any particular phase of my life, Guruji made it available to me, via his wonderful books, knowledge sheets, Rishimukh, AOL teachers & my family.

I am indebted to him eternally for the bliss & peace that he has brought in my life.

I never acquired any vices, all through MBBS, or during my schooling, because I had such amazing sudarshan kriya & beautiful meditation techniques with me.

He has been there always, during my exams, when I haven't been able to sleep, hugging me & singing lullabies.

I have met Guruji a few times, during advance courses briefly, but I always feel his presence with me, watching over me, guiding me, & smiling mischievously.

I don't know how I would fare in AIPG; results would be declared on 15th Feb. But I know, whatever Guruji decides for me, would be the best.

I LOVE HIM SO MUCH! & I am eternally grateful for all the GURU KRIPA shining in my life!

GOT TYPHOID FEVER & NEXT DAY WAS MY EXAM

Note: If you are not able to see the image below, you need to click on 'Display images' in your mail

A new day started, sun was shining and the time was nearly around 9 am... I was yet feeling sleepy on that day even though I got up & got engaged in doing all routine work. I was feeling too much cold on that morning, so I again went to my bed and covered myself with two blankets and told my mom, "Please switch off the fan”.

I realized I was having fever and got tensed at that time. I lay on the bed till around 6 p.m., I didn't even wake up to eat my breakfast & lunch. Generally, I don't take medicine immediately, I waited till the evening and then I told my dad to take me to the doctor and we went, and I told to doctor uncle, "Please do anything immediately, if you want to give injection then you may give, you may give bottle of glucose… do anything what you want to do."
"By anyhow, I want to get well as tomorrow is my exam and these are the final exams of the semester, I can't drop these exams”. Then doctor told me, "cool down cool down, we will do something" and he examined me and said that, "You have typhoid fever, so there's no chance that you can give your exam and I also suggest you personally that leave this exam".
I said, "Please do something", then he told, "okay take these medicines and go to sleep but don't hope that you can go to give exam". I was tensed again. We went to our home and I lay down. Mom was asking what did the doctor said. I said that, the doctor is totally mad, he does not know ANYTHING.
Mom asked again, but I said nothing about what the doctor had told me and said, "please switch off the lights. I want to sleep”. Mom said, "Okay but please eat something and then take medicine and after that go to sleep". I told her that, "I’ll eat after 2 or 3 hours, I am not feeling hungry now and I'll not take medicine”. After few minutes I again shouted, "Mom, please give me the phone".

I called my Part-1 teacher and told him everything, he said some words of encouragement then he said, "Close your eyes" and blessed me. He said, "Jai Gurudev! You’ll go to give exam tomorrow".

I took a blanket and covered my body and even my head & face. I felt so much noise like too many big bells are ringing around me, I was perspiring in the heat and I became wet with sweat.

After 10 or 15 minutes, I woke up from the bed, no no… actually I jumped from the bed and ran to my mom and jumped in front of her and shouted, "It’s gone, fever is goneeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.....................” Mom stared at me and said, “Have you gone mad..??!!”

I took mom's hand & put it on my forehead & she was also shocked. I told her that, "I am feeling hungry, give me dinner". I had my dinner and then took medicine. Actually I didn't want to take medicine but because my teacher told me to take it, that's why I took it. I studied for an hour, and then went to sleep (without blanket) and next day I went to give exam.

Jai Gurudev!

Master's Master Plan

Master's Master Plan

After association with Art of living, each and every moment is a Guru story. Lot of incidents happen where we feel Guruji’s presence in our life. I will try to write down an incident which my family faced 2 months back.

We (myself, my husband, my parents, my in-laws), 7 of us, were very fortunate to attend the 30th year celebration at Berlin. It was my father’s big dream to visit Germany and it also got fulfilled. He had a heart attack 7 years back after which he was completely under medication. I didn’t bother to take him to a doctor to check whether he is fit enough to travel or not because I had faith that nothing is going to happen.

When we were entering the stadium, he started facing some breathlessness. He was not able to walk. One of the senior teachers who was with us that time gave him blessings and he started walking by holding his hand. After that he never said anything about this problem. From Berlin we went to Zurich, Munich & Dubai.

After the joyful and memorable journey, my parents were planning to return back to their native place on 13thmorning. 11th night my father had the some breathlessness. He didn’t inform anyone except my mother. He kept the tablet under the tongue for the safe side. Early morning when I went to his room, I found that he is very much tired, but he said he is fine and doesn’t think feel the need to visit a doctor. So we went about our routine. Before leaving for office, however I thought of giving him Guruji’s blessings. I kept my palm on his head. The next moment, I felt very very hot on the palm and tears were coming from my eyes. Felt like something is wrong and that I need to take him to hospital. I checked his body, it was not hot. He was totally against consulting a doctor, he wanted to go to Kerala, and he was saying that after reaching there he will consult someone. But the intuition that I was having was different. I convinced and took him to doctor, a physician. He advised us to consult a cardiologist. He gave an injection and allowed him to travel seeing my father’s interest to be there in his native place. My brother was coming from Dubai on the same day to Kerala for his annual vacation.

While coming out from the hospital, just as ‘nimith’, we met the physician again and he asked us to take a second opinion. When we consulted another cardiologist in the next ½ hr, he immediately admitted my father in ICU. He had a stroke and his situation was becoming worse. I called up my brother; he was boarding his flight to Kochi. After reaching Kochi, in the next flight he came to Hyderabad.

My father was under support system and his BP was very low. We all had strong faith that Guruji is taking care. But after 3rd day also when situation did not improve, doctor was disappointed and shared the same with us. Some relatives were of the opinion that the trip might have caused this situation. I was extremely upset that day ... it was ‘Guru Poornima’ day.

We still believed that Guru’s grace is more than anything. I sent sms to all the teachers and blessers whomsoever I knew. Wrote to our blessings site. Eventually we noticed the changes happening... From some where we got all the strength. One of the senior teachers came to hospital; we requested the ICU security & doctor in charge to allow him inside for giving blessing. We kept Guruji’s photo under my father’s pillow. In an hour we observed that suddenly his BP came to 120/60 which was around 60/60 from last 3days... Doctor said after 2 days he can be shifted to the room.

After reaching home I watched the live program of Guru Poornima and we completely surrendered. After the meditation, we felt relieved and free from all tensions. The next day we went to ICU to see my father; and got the GREAT news that he is getting shifted to the room. After reaching the room, suddenly I remembered Guruji’s photo (it was a paper) I went and asked the ICU staff whether it is there on the bed. They couldn’t find it. When I came back to the room, I found that Guruji’s photo was stuck on the back of my father’s shoulder. YES…. “HE” WAS THERE WITH HIM...

Doctor suggested a bypass surgery and categorised it as a high risk surgery. We were not having any clue as to who is a good doctor, where to take him etc. We met one of our teachers in the hospital very unexpectedly (it was a nimith), he mentioned the best surgeon’s name but his dates were completely booked. Our teacher took us to the surgeon and introduced us. It was completely a very personal care that we received. Everything went well. Our Art of Living family members came forward for donating blood. There were 7 people ready for blood donation one day before the surgery. But blood bank team said only 4 units needed. But during the surgery they used 7 units and we replaced 3 units later from our aol family. The moment we closed our eyes, we could see Guruji next to my father. After the surgery when he was in ICU, his face was glowing even though he was completely on support system.

Each and every moment was well planned. It was our karma to go through this. But how well Guruji planned and helped us to sail through, cannot be explained in words. My brother spent complete 1 month vacation for my father’s treatment. He didn’t have any issue with taking long leave. He left for Dubai the very next day my father got discharged. I had got new job offer confirmation on Guru Poornima day, when we were sitting in front of the ICU. After my resignation, I took a month’s break before joining at the new job to take care of him. I was expecting this offer in the month of March and then left it without any hope. If I would have received the offer at that time, I would have faced lot of difficulty in getting leaves in the new job.

It is completely true that ‘we plan the future seeing the present and GURUJI plans the present seeing the future’.

We were just witnessing the DIVINE's plan .It was HIS grace working all the time...
All these incidents made us much stronger within with strong faith that Guruji is there to take care.

My gratitude to Guruji, to all his instruments … who were helping us... being with us all these days... we have such a great family with us.

We all are very fortunate...

Jai Guru Dev
With all Pranams to Guru Dev

My Guruji takes care of me ... always :)

My Guruji takes care of me ... always :)

Around 5 years back, when I was new to Art of Living, I did not practice my Kriya very regularly. I had a lot of health problems and was on constant medication. I had seen Guruji just once and my faith in him was firm that I would be protected by him always. I live with my mother in Mumbai and during that period she had to visit Singpore to care for my sister, Joyotee, who was expecting a baby. It was the first time in my life that I would be staying alone; earlier whenever my mother needed to leave the city, I moved to my elder sister, Kasturi's place, close to our residence. However, she had recently moved to Chennai and my mother was a little apprehensive about my diet due to my constant ailments. It was decided that Kasturi would visit me in Mumbai for a few days (she had her daughter Oishee and husband Gopal to look after as well), and I insisted on trying to live alone for some days.

I did my Sudarshan Kriya when I felt I had the time, although my family insisted that I should be more regular. My sister had to suddenly leave for Chennai as Oishee would be left alone due to Gopal's official tour. I was happy that I had got the chance to spend a few more days on my own and that too preparing for my trip to Singapore to join my mother and meet Joyotee, her family and especially her new born son. Just before my flight to Singapore, I did my Sudarshan Kriya very devotedly and prayed to Guruji to take care of me. I had a smooth travel in spite of the rains and heavy security towards the airport following the unfortunate blasts that had rocked Mumbai local trains a few weeks before. During my immigration and security check, Kasturi and Oishee called me from Ashram (they were undergoing their Advance Course in Meditation) and I heard Guruji's voice which I knew was his blessing to me.

When in Singapore I had a good time with the family and did not practise my Sudarshan Kriya regularly. However, there was that feeling of being surrounded by a shield. A day before we were to return, my sister and I decided to go out with my niece but it somehow turned out that just the two of us went and my niece was left at home with my mother and her little brother. We were on our way in a brand new cab with a well experienced driver. Singapore has smooth roads and traffic, unless during peak hours, when traffic moves at a very swift pace. As with everything else Singaporeans strictly obey all traffic rules, one being that you have your seat belt strapped all the time when you are in a moving four wheeler; even the passengers in the rear seats have to strictly adhere to this rule. However, I was not used to this and always had to be reminded by my sister or brother-in-law when they drove. That day, however, my sister was also in the rear seat with me and she didn't notice that I did not have my seat belt on. We were cruising at quite a speed and leafing through some magazines in the cab when there was a sudden impact with our the vehicle; the car in front of ours swerved and our cab bumped into it with a big impact, rebounded and again bumped straight into an entrance wall to a gas station. Our vehicle banged into the wall with the bumper and headlights on the left - the same side that I was sitting... the speed and the impact shook us and the other car driver couldn't be seen as the air bags in his vehicle had blown up.

We immediately decided to jump out of the vehicle when it came to a jarring halt. Joyotee was aghast to see that I didn't have my seat belt on as usual and it was my side of the car that took most of the impact! However, I was fine, with not a scratch, bump or strain anywhere. My sister was in shock and the staff at the gas station helped us to their office while the police and ambulance were called. She was taken in a stretcher as was the driver of the other car to the hospital where she was diagnosed with no real damage other than shock and a "whiplash" on her back due to the impact. The other car driver was also not injured and our cab driver was fine. I was perfectly normal, with no feeling of fear, shock or any after effects. My brother-in-law had driven down from work and saw us through the hospital and police formalities. It was then that it struck us that we had been through a miracle when my niece had decided to stay back home and I, who had coolly thought that whatever I do, my Guru would take care of me and had actually experienced His Grace. He had seen me through an auto accident without any damage to me physically or emotionally. My sister, recovered from her pains soon and in a few months she too underwent the Basic Course after her personal experiences with Guruji.

My mother thanked Guruji for His blessings and we are ever grateful for His Grace.

Yes, Great Guruji looks after us always...

Now I am more attentive towards my Kriya and try to be as regular as possible.

JAI GURUDEV!

MIRACLE CALL

MIRACLE CALL

Jai Gurudev!

This story is the recent one from the many blessings given by Guruji. I was on a vacation and travelling to my home town via train. While travelling I accidently sat on my phone and its touch screen got damaged due to pressure on it. I couldn’t attend or make call. Neither could I use its camera which I required badly for my trip. I tried all means to fix it on my own, but the phone's touch screen was not working. I was really tensed and was not getting as to how will I manage my vacations and as a student I was tensed about the money required to repair it.

I prayed to Guruji for a miracle and to make my phone working but I knew that I was asking too much as it was an electronic fault which can only be repaired by replacing the screen and it was impossible to restore it. But still I continued hoping and kept praying to Guruji to help me. All of a sudden I received a call from home and Guruji's picture appeared on screen which I had saved as a call image and guess what, after saying Jai Gurudev I touched the screen in a hope to receive the call and a miracle happened. I could receive the call and the phone was normal all of a sudden. It was a real time blessing as Guru ji always keeps a track of his devotees. I was very happy to find my phone normal after a long struggle. And I enjoyed the trip and clicked many photos and the phone is working perfectly till now.

Tricky ways of teaching!!!

Tricky ways of teaching!!!

I belong to Jodhpur and I am currently posted in Jammu as a teacher in Army. I live on Gurudev's grace. How Guruji cares for us is really miraculous. Innumerable miracles have been happening since I came under the blanket of his grace. It is my first attempt to pen a piece of writing.

It was Sep 2009. I was going to Jodhpur on leave by Kalka-Barmer Exp which I boarded from Ambala. On reaching Bikaner I felt like having a hearty meal. The train was to stay there for 20 min as told by GRP personnel on duty. I just informed my co passengers,
an old couple & went out of the station to a Dhaba(restaurant) & enjoyed mouth watering curry pakoda & Tandoori with butter. I quickly returned the station with my tummy fully satisfied. But to my utter horror there was no train!! It had just left d station and was going about 200 metres away. The signalman expressed his helplessness. I didn't have time to report anywhere. I remembered Guruji & ran after the train for 200-300 meters shouting for it to stop. The people nearby suggested me to take any vehicle from the nearby Deshnok chäuraha to reach merta road before the train. I was breathless but I still ran towards the circle. Within a span of a few seconds I was able to think of tens of ways to reach Merta Road before d train. I was just uttering Guruji's name.

To my utter surprise & pleasure an Angel came to inform that the train had stopped. I couldn't even thank him & ran back. But alas! No sooner did I reach the tracks, it started again. I ran after it with my full speed & stamina, shouted & signalled it to stop. Luckily the guard noticed me. The train again stopped & finally I boarded it.
Haaaaa.....aa...a.!

Guruji has His own ways of teaching. He has led me from a common rural lad to a sincere seeker on the path and an instrument of the divine knowledge.

“Bag” Full Of Grace!

“Bag” Full Of Grace!

I have so many stories that are too hard to believe. But this one is particularly striking.

I am a total brandoholic. I like them so very much. So I have a tendency of writing on face book wall “God please give me this...I’ll be happy forever”. So one day GUCCI fan club posted new collection on their fan page. I saw this bag and I wrote on their wall “God please give me this." Then I deleted the word "God" and wrote "GURUJI" instead.

In the evening, dad came home. He came out looking for me. He said “I have got something for u." My dad generally does not bring presents. I opened with least interest thinking it must be some eatable (coz that is what he usually gets).

But when I opened it, I was flabbergasted.

It was THE GUCCI BAG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He said there was an all-bridal-thing-exhibition and that it was on his way, so he casually "PICKED” up the clutch for me. I was shell-shocked.

And since then my love for him is increased in geometric proportion!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE MASTER AND US

THE MASTER AND US

My father had not been keeping well for over a month now. Since Shillong does not have good medical facilities my family decided to take my father to Delhi. To our horror we found out that he was suspected of lung cancer. After performing a CT scan and a PET scan the doctors were 99% sure that he was suffering from lung cancer with multiple nodules observed in both his lungs. They took sample for biopsy. We decided to fly down to Bangalore to meet Guruji on his birthday as the biopsy reports would come only after three days.
The flight from Delhi to Bangalore was painful for him but it was Guruji's call I guess. Soon things became alright and we reached Bangalore. My father felt that he had reached heaven's abode. We hired a flat a few kilometers away from the ashram. That evening he could not make it to the ashram for the satsang since he was not well.
We wrote continuous emails to Guruji, Swami Pragyapadji to seek their blessings. All the Swamiji's in the ashram were with us. Our letter reached Guruji and his secretary Girin Bhaiya called us up to inform that Guruji has read our letter and would meet us by 6.15. We could not make it on time as we were a few kms away from the ashram and there was no way we could make it by 6.15. Girin bhaiya informed that Guruji would meet us on the way to the satsang. How??? How would He recognize us? But in the midst of lakhs of devotees Guruji stopped in front of my parents. He blessed my father. He waved his hand over his head as though he was moving a magic wand and said that everything will be fine. He blessed my mother as well. We all felt as light as a feather as though something heavy had been lifted. We were astonished that Guruji gave us such a beautiful darshan.
We left for Delhi the next day surrendering all our fears and worries on our Master's feet. My brother went to collect his report. In about 30 minutes we get a call from my brother who could hardly speak but managed to say 'Jai Gurudev' before he broke down. The tests were negative. The doctors were surprised. It was a medical failure for them and a miracle for us.
Our lives are indebted to Guruji. Let’s all do his work. Let’s spread his message far and wide. He is there for each one of us. None is more blessed or more personal to Guruji. We are all his children and he will take care of us always. Just smile and love. All your messages reach Him. Just surrender.
-Preeti

My mother got well

My mother got well

Jai guru dev!

6 months back, on one unfortunate day, my mother got vision problem and headache. When we consulted a doctor, we were shocked to find that it was not just a vision problem but nerve from brain got bulged due to weakness. Doctor also added that it was critical since that nerve was brain connecting nerve and operation should be done immediately otherwise nerve might blast. Worst part was that even if operated, it was a great risk and there was a high possibility for her to get paralysed or she might even drop into coma!! We were crestfallen...

My sisters and brothers started arranging money for operation because it was to cost much; also they are capable (financially strong). But I come from middle class and Guruji is my only hold and hope.
I immediately sent a mail for blessing and left for seeing Guruji (at Bangalore).

It was not as easy as I had thought. It was very difficult to meet Guruji. Guruji came in a car and lots of devotees surrounded him. Also, Guruji called one art excel teacher and she took aarti and gave chukku coffee to Guruji and later also Guruji called her separately (after Guruji had gone to his kutir). But he didn’t care about me in any way.

I broke down. I thought my prayer was not deep. Then I sat on a place and prayed more...after that also Guruji did not come. This time I really broken down and felt inferior... felt am I not true... Why Guru met all others and not me. Am I not eligible ... I grumbled...
Any way I issued my request in letter and gave it to Guruji. Without saying any word and even without any smile, with a more rough face, Guruji plugged the letter.
I returned to Chennai...
For a long time only one thought came in my mind and I grumbled and felt that I am not lovable to Guruji...
Operation (coiling) was to be carried next morning. On the night before operation, I didn’t sleep much and woke up early morning at 3am. Then I came to a conclusion that God is my only hope and thereafter I prayed from 3.30 am to 5.30 am on top of my apartment. Security doubted me to be a thief and whistled. Even then I didn’t get up and continued chanting and praying. During the time of operation also, I didn’t speak much and prayed OM Namah Shivaya...OM Namah Shivaya. This knowledge was given by Guru.

Now the bad phase is over. My mother is carrying her day to day activities as a normal 75 year woman without major complaint. Doctor says that your mother is a very brave lady. And that doctor never expected this much normality /improvement after such operation. He added this is a miracle that he has seen.

Jai guru dev what more can I say....may God and Guru keep my mother and all people happy, peaceful and healthy ...... OM...

Jeganathan komagan
